Tree removal
Safe tree removal, even in tight spots
When a tree threatens your home, family or power lines, you don't just need someone with a saw — you need a crew that understands safe removal. We take down dead, diseased and dangerously leaning trees across Tampa Bay without damaging what's around them.
What removal looks like with us
- We assess the tree, the lean, the access and everything it could hit — then plan the drop before anyone starts a saw.
- Specialized rigging and heavy equipment let us take big oaks and pines down in controlled sections, even over roofs and pools.
- Fences, landscaping and structures stay exactly as they were — our goal is that the only thing missing is the tree.
- Debris is hauled off the same visit. Add stump grinding and the whole tree is gone, below the grass line.
When a tree should come down
Not every problem tree needs removal — sometimes trimming saves it, and we'll tell you when that's the case. But a tree that's dead, hollow, badly storm-damaged, dropping large limbs, or leaning harder every season is a liability you don't want hanging over a Florida hurricane season.
How it works

Reach the removal line at (813) 244-0050. We'll set a time to walk the property with you — usually within a couple of days, faster if the tree is dangerous.
We assess and quote in writing
We look at the tree's condition, its lean, what's under it and how our equipment gets to it, then hand you an exact written price. If a permit applies, we tell you before anything is signed.
Controlled take-down
On job day the crew rigs the tree and brings it down in planned sections — piece by piece over structures, or in bigger cuts where there's open ground. Nothing free-falls onto anything you care about.
Cleanup and walkthrough
Wood and debris get hauled off the same visit, the yard gets raked, and we walk the job with you before we leave. If you bundled stump grinding, the stump goes too.
What affects the price
No two trees are the same, so every quote is built in person — free, in writing, and exact. Here's what moves the number:
- Size and height — a 25-foot ornamental and a 70-foot grand oak are entirely different jobs.
- Condition — dead, hollow or storm-cracked trees can't hold a climber and need slower, more careful rigging.
- What's underneath — removals over a roof, pool cage or fence take more rigging time than a tree in open yard.
- Equipment access — a backyard the bucket truck can't reach means more climbing and more hours.
- Haul-off volume — big hardwoods produce serious tonnage; the grapple truck makes this efficient, but it's part of the price.
- Stump grinding — quoted separately, and cheapest when bundled with the removal visit.
Honest answers
How much does tree removal cost in Tampa?
Most residential tree removals in the Tampa area run from a few hundred dollars for a small tree to several thousand for a large oak over a structure. The price depends on the tree's size, its condition, how close it is to buildings and power lines, and how easily our equipment can reach it. We give exact, free quotes in person — and the number we quote is the number you pay.
Do you remove trees near houses and power lines?
Yes. That's most of what we do. Using rigging, a bucket truck and controlled sectional cutting, we can remove trees directly over roofs, fences and driveways without damage. Trees tangled in utility service lines may need the utility company to drop the line first — we'll tell you if that applies.
Can you get a tree out of a tight backyard with no truck access?
Yes — that's a climbing job, not a truck job. Our climbers go up the tree and rope every limb and trunk section down under control, so nothing free-falls near your fence, pool cage or house. It takes more time than an open-yard removal and the quote reflects that, but tight-access removals are everyday work for us across Tampa Bay.
Can you take down more than one tree in the same visit?
Absolutely, and it's the cheapest way to do it — the crew, equipment and debris hauling get shared across every tree instead of being paid for twice. If you're pointing at more than a handful of trees, ask us about land clearing; past a certain count, that's the better-priced way to quote it.
Do I need a permit to remove a tree in Hillsborough County?
Sometimes. Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa protect certain species and sizes — especially grand oaks. Many removals of hazardous or dead trees qualify for streamlined approval. We deal with permits regularly and will tell you exactly what your tree needs before any work starts.
Is the stump included?
Stump grinding is a separate service with its own equipment, so it's quoted separately — but we bundle removal + grinding all the time, and it's cheaper to do both in one visit. Ask for the combined price.
How long does a tree removal take?
A small tree in an open yard can be down and cleaned up in a couple of hours. A large oak over a house, taken apart in rigged sections, usually takes most of a day. We tell you the expected duration with the quote so you can plan around it.
Will the equipment damage my lawn?
We plan equipment paths before the job to keep impact to a minimum, and if ground conditions mean some turf marks are unavoidable, we tell you that upfront rather than surprise you. The goal is always the same: when we leave, the only thing missing is the tree.
